NOTICE OF PROPOSED ANNEXATION
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Mayor and City Council for the City of Forest Park, Georgia (“the City”) propose to amend the Charter of the City, 1988 Ga. Laws pp. 4409 et seq., as amended, so as to annex certain land into the corporate limits of the City, said land currently lying and being in Land Lots 180 and 181 of the 12th District of Clayton County (unincorporated), and being more particularly described on Exhibit A to the proposed Charter Amendment, which is on file and available for examination and inspection by the public as described below.
A true and correct copy of the proposed Charter Amendment, including Exhibits A and B thereto, is on file for the purpose of examination and inspection by the public in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Forest Park, Georgia, at Forest Park City Hall, 745 Forest Parkway, Forest Park, Georgia 30297, and in the office of the Clerk of the Superior Court of Clayton County, Georgia, 9151 Tara Boulevard, Jonesboro, Georgia 30236.
The proposed Charter Amendment will be considered for adoption at two regular consecutive meetings of the Mayor and City Council to be held within the sixty day period following the initial publication of this Notice.
